4FUN route to add Valleyfair stop as amusement park opens May 12

MVTA’s seasonal 4FUN route will begin serving Valleyfair on Thursday, May 9. The official opening day at the amusement park is scheduled for Sunday, May 12.
“We are thrilled that MVTA will make it easy to visit Valleyfair by providing convenient transportation options for both our guests and associates via the 4FUN route,” said Raul Rehnborg, vice president & general manager of Valleyfair.
The seasonal 4FUN route operates Thursdays through Sundays and serves major entertainment and shopping destinations in the south metro, including Mystic Lake Casino, Valleyfair, Twin Cities Premium Outlets and Mall of America.
“We’re delighted to see Twin Cities Premium Outlets included on MVTA’s 4FUN bus route,” said Sarah Dorrian, Area Director of Marketing for the popular outdoor outlet center. “After all, what’s more ‘fun’ than scoring great deals on top-name brands.”
The route is in operation from 9 a.m. to 11:41 p.m. with 13 daily stops at each location.
The 4FUN route also stops at Burnsville Transit Station and Marschall Road Transit Station in Shakopee to provide additional local and regional connections to the top entertainment and shopping destinations.
4FUN operates with an Express, non-rush hour fare: $2.50 for adults; $1 for seniors (65+) and youth (6-12); $1 for Limited Mobility (must be qualified); and free for children 5 and under and veterans with service-connected ID.
