Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions of Use
Please read the following information carefully before using this service. You may not use the service without accepting these Terms and Conditions.
Welcome to the MVTA wireless high-speed Internet access system ("Wi-Fi System"). These "Terms and Conditions of Use" govern your rights and responsibilities and our rights and responsibilities relating to the use of the Wi-Fi System at MVTA.
Description of Wi-Fi System/Service Availability
MVTA will provide access to the Wi-Fi System at the Burnsville and Eagan Transit Station and on select bus routes during this demonstration period. All will be noted with a Wi-Fi logo. Currently, wireless access points are not be available in all areas of the MVTA and may not always be operational.
Fee for Wi-Fi System
The Wi-Fi system at MVTA is provided "free of charge" as a value added service to the customers, riders, and business partners of MVTA. Usage may be subject to participation in a short online survey.
Terms of Internet Service Use
By using the web service offered by MVTA, I (either as an individual or an entity) agree to abide by the following Terms of Internet Service Use. MVTA and its service providers are not responsible to insure privacy, virus protection or other security. MVTA’s service providers use content-filtering software that attempts to restrict access to offensive sites; however, no such software is totally effective. Wi-Fi service may not be secure, and could be accessed by others. Power interruptions and internet service interruptions may occur. MVTA does not guarantee continuing availability of internet service or access.
I understand and agree that MVTA and its service providers are not responsible for any of the following: any information passing through the internet or the web service; privacy or security of information; hardware or software support; lost data; power interruptions; failed or interrupted internet transmissions, transactions, or electronic communications. I acknowledge and agree that MVTA and its service providers are not responsible for any damages, whether direct, special, incidental or consequential, resulting from my own use or any other patron’s use of the internet and the web service. I agree to be respectful of the rights and feelings of MVTA’s other patrons in my use of the internet.
I hereby agree: (a) to abide by these Terms of Internet Service Use, (b) not to violate any applicable laws, rules, regulations or policies relating to such use, (c) to indemnify and hold Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, its agents, employees, and service providers harmless from any damage or harm of any kind resulting from use of the web service, (d) and I represent that I am 18 years of age or older.
I have carefully read the above terms and conditions. My use of wireless internet service signifies my acceptance of the terms.
MVTA requests that anyone who believes that there is a violation of this AUP direct the information to mvta@mvta.com and include "WIFI" in the subject line. If available, please provide the following information:
- the IP address used to commit the alleged violation;
- the date and time of the alleged violation, including the time zone;
- evidence of the alleged violation; and
- your contact details including full name, email address and telephone number.
When reporting an issue regarding unsolicited email please provide a copy of the email messages with full headers which typically provides all of the above data.
Termination
You agree that MVTA may terminate this Agreement and cancel your access to the Wi-Fi System at any time, without notice and for any reason including, but not limited to, violation of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, security or safety reasons, and/or using the Wi-Fi System to perform any illegal activity. You further agree that in the event of termination for any reason, MVTA will have no liability to you.

If you experience a problem accessing or using the Wi-Fi System, report the problem by calling 952-882-7500 or by emailing mvta@mvta.com and include "WIFI" in the subject line.
