General Policies

Minimum Age to Ride MVTA Bus Unaccompanied is 10
Children 9 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while riding the bus, they cannot ride alone. If parents have questions/issues, please direct them to MVTA Customer Service.
Proper Attire
For the safety of our passengers, proper attire is required for all riders. Shirts and shoes must be worn. Passengers who do not have a shirt and/or shoes are advised that they are required.
Scents Policy
Passengers are asked to respect the comfort of others who are sensitive to fragrances (perfume, after shave, hand lotion, etc.) and consider a "scent free" environment. While we do not have a way to enforce this, those riders with allergies or reactions to fragrances will thank you.
Stroller Policy
MVTA's stroller safety policy is designed to protect the safety of children and others on the bus.
When riding MVTA buses with children in strollers, please use care and follow these procedures:
- Remove child(ren) from stroller(s).
- Collapse stroller(s) and make sure it/they are not blocking the doorway or the aisle of the bus.
- If strollers do not collapse for storage, we are unable to accommodate you on the bus.
- Strollers may not be placed in the wheelchair area on any bus. These spaces must be available to our mobility-challenged riders at any time.
NOTE: Folding the stroller not only makes it easier for other customers to get on and off the bus, but it also makes the ride safer for you and your child. A child in a stroller runs the risk of being injured as a result of sudden bus movements. Thank you for your cooperation.
