May 30, 2024 2:10 pm

MVTA is happy to announce that Go-To Cards will be accepted as fare payment on MVTA Connect rides starting on Monday, June 3.

All MVTA Connect rides are $3 per trip.

  • Riders can pay for trips with a credit or debit card on the RideMVTA app or pay with $3 cash or with a Go-To Card when boarding.
  • All Go-To Cards, including discounted Go-To Cards, will be charged $3 when boarding MVTA Connect.

Go-To Cards provide flexibility to riders who don’t want to always have correct change with them for rides. The cards can be picked up at MVTA’s Customer Service Office at Burnsville Transit Station as well as many Cub Foods and online. Value can be added to the cards online or at ticket vending machines at Apple Valley Transit Station or Burnsville Transit Station. When boarding MVTA Connect, customers tap the card on the Go-To Card reader inside the door to deduct the $3 fare.

MVTA Connect is a ride-share service that allows customers to book curb-to-curb trips on their smart phones 7 days a week between 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. MVTA Connect provides trips in Apple Valley, Burnsville, Savage, and Rosemount. MVTA Connect – Eagan provides trips exclusively within the city of Eagan.

Rides are booked using the free RideMVTA app.
